Emergency Distress Channels on the CB Radio Network are as follow:
UHF Band:
The Emergency Distress channels allocated on the UHF CB Network are Channels 5 & 35
- Channel 5 is the PRIMARY Emergency Distress channel. Some regions have emergency repeaters not in operation, If so try channel 5 in simplex mode.
- Channel 35 is a SECONDARY emergency channel, and is used as the 'INPUT' channel for emergency repeaters. It is vitally important that channel 35 UHF is NOT to be used for anything other than emergency communications.
HF Band (27MHz)
- Channel 9 is the PRIMARY emergency channel. AM & LSB
